One might wonder why a copier is necessary if you have a computer printer all set up. Well, one day I wondered that myself so I checked it out.
For one thing, copiers can be always on, and don’t need to be connected to your computer in order to work. You can place a compact canon copier on your kitchen desk or in a small space in your home office, and be ready to go. They would be especially useful, and cheaper to run if you want to make a lot of copies, than a computer printer.
Perhaps one would be useful if you do work for a charity or non-profit. You can print up posters and flyers, do mailings, and all at the touch of a couple of buttons. Also, legal sized paper can easily be used by putting it into the additional tray, without setting up your computer printer to take an “odd sized” piece of paper.
